DESCRIPTION: French, Royal Exchange, London, a man's gold pocket watch, 9 jewels, key wind and set, gilt full plate movement with engraved balance cock and barrel bridge, duplex escapement, and cut bimetallic balance with wedge shaped compensation weights in an 18 karat, rose gold, hinged back and bezel open face case with London hallmark and date letter for the year 1815, and Roman numeral, white enamel dial, gold spade hands, serial #1378, 57mm, 190.6g TW.
CONDITION: CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Back cover hinge worn and with replaced lift spring blocks; Bow worn; Pendant with small notch at pusher; Letters crudely scratched into inside of case back; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Tiny flake at center of seconds bit; A few minor scratches. HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor marks and scratches on plate; Screw heads with some loss to blue and minor oxide; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
